The front features a zippered pocket and the interior has a zipper-close top. The back is our smoky charcoal woven canvas, and it too has a zippered pocket. "I am disappointed that they made this style WAY BIGGER. It is TOO BIG! 2" longer and one inch wider than the bag I had before which started to have raveling threads on the front panel. Why? It is overpowering on my small 5' frame. I haven't decided if I am returning it or not. It may be good for a personal bag from traveling on a plane maybe, but it sure is not user friendly at that size. Otherwise it is well made and beautiful."
